Actually, these mailing lists are not associated with the US GenWeb
Project, they were set up by RootsWeb for every county in the US, whether
needed or wanted or not. They have also created mailing lists for nearly
every imaginable surname. Here in the Northwest, researchers are probably
better served by using the established and very good state and regional
lists rather than going to tiny county lists, although the county lists are
valuable in many eastern states. None of these are official USGW project
lists.

These mail lists are a nice tool for researchers in your county and very
easy to maintain! If you decide to adopt one, I will help you if you ever
