Hi Steve,
Well, since you brought it up..... The "new" address you give,
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/census/ has indeed been the correct
address for the USGW Census Project for quite some time, since 1999, but we
are this month in the process of moving to a slightly different address,
http://www.rootsweb.com/~census/
This has not yet been announced, so you heard it here first, but during the
months of January and February everything should be pretty much transferred
to the new directory. There is no change in the operation of the project,
or in its policies and procedures. The new address is already operational,
so everyone is encouraged to switch their links to it, as the old address
may not be functional past the first quarter of 2001. The Washington state
page for the USGW Census Project remains at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/wa/wacensus.htm
Thank you,

Well in my never ending battle to keep current and make my sites as
simple
and easy for a beginner to read and find what they are looking for and to
keep within National's directives, some of us including myself until now
have the old US GenWeb Census URL when we can link to all the archives by
using :
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/
Or you can of course continue to have links on your main page, its
your
choice of course, but the important one to change if you haven't done so
is
to update your US GenWeb Project URL to read:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/census/
