Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Celia, you had an unlinked but online state directory when you were
state coordinator, didn't you?
At any rate, I am either a dog with very small paws or John R. Ashmun,
coordinator for the Chelan County site:

I've been in the project since 1998, and at various times have been the
coordinator for Adams, Chelan, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Stevens Counties
in WAGenWeb, for several county sites in IDGenWeb, and a couple in
NVGenWeb.
Well, the AB is discussing should people be allowed to use aliases.
Currently no one needs to truly identify themselves to be CC, ASC, SC or
any of the special project members and it is a know fact that some people
have used aliases.
I've taken a stand that we need an open membership list available to
USGenWeb Project members. I would like everyone to be listed by
name, address, telephone number, and email addresses.
So, I'm goin' to start here.
my name is Darilee Ann (Cordray) Bednar,
my business address is 3rd St Book Exchange
1615 3rd St
Marysville WA 98270
I have a home address 5329 130th Pl NE
Marysville WA 98271
my store number is 360-659-8734 I'm here from 9 to 9 most days and
don't answer the phone at home even if I'm home.
I have been a member since 1996 and am CC for Skagit Co WA and Denali AK
I am currently sitting on the AB
I have numerous websites and have over
1600 pages of genealogy stuff online.
275 pages of Vietnam online
I have just started selling books online at Amazon...
my online bio is at http://www.rootsweb.com/~waskagit/bednar.html

Let me add my welcome to Susan too (love your name!). I am sure that you
will enjoy your new duties and you will meet the nicest people! I can't
believe I've been doing the Stevens Co GenWeb for 5 years now and I knew
nothing about html when I started. I still don't know much about it, but
am having a ball! Even took on a second county ...Pend Oreille a couple of
years ago (both up in the northeast corner of Washington). Am I nuts, or
what? Anyway, welcome! ...Susan Dechant

Well,
I thought i would just pass the word around about our latest addon's to WA Columbia. Currently myself and my trusty volunteer Pat Higley and I are posting pictures of the mid 1920's year books for Dayton High School.
Plus we have added what veterans are buried in Dayton's Cemetery and listed by what war they died in.

Charles had a grievance with his SC... One of the AB members volunteered to work with him and the SC, who was willing to talk about issues. After a couple of weeks Charles withdrew his complaint and I'm guessing life went on as it did before.
I consider the handling of Charles grievance one of the positive acts of the AB... The AB can't stop problems from happening... Not when dealing with 2000 people. but if handled professionally or at least with empathy most problems will resolve themselves.
