Y'all come to
Virtual Tour 41
Trigg County Kentucky
http://www.usroots.com/~kyseeker/trigg/trigg.html
You'all come and visit my birthplace, Trigg County Kentucky, the home of
the Trigg County Ham Festival and part of the beautiful Land Between the
Lakes.
Come join with me on a ride of the smallest railroad with the Allen's at
the throttle. Let's hitch up the wagon and mules and ride down the
Jackson road and stop for a cool drink of water from the cistern at the
ole school house.
Hold on to Pappy as we ride thru Golden Pond as we are in 'moonshine'
territory. We'll stop by and help the folks with the 'barn raisin' and
stay for supper. I'll guarantuee - hot biscuits, hot ham, red eye gravy,
brown beans, turnip greens, fried okra, pear preserves, blackberry jam,
homemade churned butter and most of all a good ole welcome.
Y'all come and don't forgit to come back and see us!

How about visiting OHIO!!!!
Virtual Tour #40
Butler County Ohio
http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohbutler/
The Miami River flows through Butler County, Ohio, on its way to empty
into the Ohio River, south of the county, at Cincinnati. Now the home of
Miami University (called Miami of Ohio, by some), once native American
Miami, Delaware, and Shawnee people walked and hunted through the area's
thick woods.
Today you can hunt on-line for your Butler County ancestors, or wander
through the 1882 book, "A History and Biographical Cyclopaedia of Butler
County, Ohio With Illustrations and Sketches of its Representative Men and
Pioneers".
Stop by, anytime.

Virtual tour #39 visits
Young County Texas
http://www.rootsweb.com/~txyoung/young.htm
I would like to invite all of you to visit the Young County Texas
GenWeb site at http://www.rootsweb.com/~txyoung/young.htm. I host this
site but most of the work has been done by a wonderful volunteer named
Dorman Holub.
We have much of the data from the county courthouse online, as well as
the genealogical data from the news papers. Articles written by others and
much more.
Wanda didn't include this in her invitation but Young County Texas has
been nominated for Texas County of the month. Stop by and see why Wanda
has been given this honor.

Virtual Tour #38 visits something a bit different.
the NEGenWeb Resource Center located at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~neresour/resource.html
I would like to invite you to a "group effort" site.
It's a collaboration of all the NEGenWeb CC's and has around 30
Megs online now. We have everything from lists of links to an
Ancestor's Lost and Found, and our newest addition is the On Line
Library which has entire books online with "every name" indexes and
such.
I manage the site, but most of the data there is the work of others
and they've done a wonderful job!

Virtual Tour #37 Andrew County, MO
http://www.rootsweb.com/~moandrew
It was probably another cold winter day in February 1837 when
local tribes signed a treaty giving up their rights to land east of
the Missouri River in what is now northwestern Missouri.
Four years later, on a cold January day in 1841, Andrew County
was formally organized from part of this "Platte Purchase". And
before the end of that decade, Andrew County was just north of one
of the hot spots (St. Joseph, MO) for taking off on the Oregon Trail.
And Andrew Co. today? Drop in anytime to look around.

You didn't miss a thing. The Virtual Tour returns with a visit to Marion
County, West Virginia. Two more counties are lined up and waiting
impatiently to present themselves to you. Have a Happy New Years...
Marion County, West Virginia, at:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~wvmarion/marion.html
Wild, Wonderful, West Virginia invites you to visit one of the first
places settled in the state, Marion County. You may remember Marion County
from earlier this year when the county commissioners sent historically
valuable original manuscripts to the dump - but later found out they had
not yet been sent, so tragedy was averted. We'd like you to come visit!
