My response to Ann......
1. When I know the name to be spelled wrong, should I include a
>comment
showing the proper spelling?
I think that is a good idea....you could include it in an
Information column. You might just put the correct spelling
and then a question mark following it. This shows you think
it is wrong, but not claiming yours is correct.
2. I have seen, for example, Mrs John Doe. I know her given name
>to be
Jane. Should I add a comment?
You can add this in your information column, with an
explanation of the validity of your addition.
3. How about when I know a maiden name? Should I include?
I put... nee Jones.... in the Information column.
4. What about headstones that just say "Our Babies". No
names, no dates?
I have listed this type as Unknown ,"Our Babies"
alphabetically and then in my date column say...
No date, in the information column
I would say, No surname listed....
Include any helpful info about the positioning of the
stone, something that might help determine which
family they might be in.
Usually there is no clue and I am tempted to omit these..
I would like to hear someone else's opinion on this one.
