Hello, and thanks:
FYI I have never had any problems of the sort that you describe. But a close
friend of mine DID. He is quite knowledgeable and careful but he did open up an
email file he was not sure of, and it ended up trashing his entire HD. He did
all sorts of stuff to restore, but came out with about another 6 months of work
to get things back. So, what you sent along was right on target. Thanks for
the warning.

HI All,
Today a received an e-mail from a Elizabeth Brown, EBrown9892(a)aol.com
requesting help with some genealogical information. Along with this message
came a second e-mail from her with no message but an attached file. The
attached file was named Happy99.exe. This is a worm file, I won't bore you
with the details but if your interested there is a link below to find out
more about it. If you open this file you will create serious problems with
your computer. If you receive an e-mail from her with Happy99.exe attached
DO NOT OPEN it, just delete it.
Chances are she doesn't realize what she is doing and her request was rather
specific so you won't be receiving and e-mail from her but I thought I would
pass this warning along.
