As most of you know Rutland County has not been updated in over a year. I
have e-mailed the current CC to see if he wishes to keep it, if I do not
hear from him by Friday I will be removing him as the CC. I have lined up a
new volunteer, Danielle Roberts, to take over as CC of Rutland. Before I
give her the page I want to make sure that no one involved with VtGenWeb
project wants to have it. If you are interested please get back to me by
Friday, sorry for the short notice but I want to get this issue settled.
Danielle publishes the quarterly newsletter Rooted in the Green Mountains,
mostly containing information on Rutland County, and will soon be taking
over the Sleeper Queries publication from Laura Huslander. She has a
tremendous amount of information but knows little about computers. I will
help her as much as I can but I am certainly no expert ( read on and you
will see what I mean) and if she gets the page I may be looking for
volunteers to help her and myself to get up and running. If anyone has any
suggestions on how to help a new volunteer please e-mail them to me, so far
I have told Danielle to check out the volunteer page at USGenWeb, thanks
Celia.
I have redone the state page and it is online at the same URL address. In
doing the change over I have not been able to get the page with the lists
of towns that links to the counties working (this is what I meant). I will
probably end up doing a new town page and will try to get it up as quickly
as possible. If you have any volunteers running town pages please e-mail
their names and links and I will include them with the new page. If you
find any problems, or have any links that should be included, or have any
comments, suggestions and criticisms about the new page e-mail me and I
will make the necessary changes.
Finally (Huzzah) a quick reminder to remove Tom Sparrow's name as SC and
replace his with mine.

Mark Felone
