Pleasant
I done the work and mended some went down to Mrs Barbers and changed
papers George banked part of the house and got a load of wood we went down
to Albert Gates in the evening and played Euchre Got home about half past
eleven

Rained hard all day
I done the work and braided three hats George went over to Frank
Gallups to see to his calves
Saturday3
Cool cloudy and windy
I done the work George went to Jacksonville and got a barrel of cider got
me a pair of shoe strings and some salicutus Mr Donavan came here about 2
oclock to see George about taking Ernest he is going to take him he is
comming next thursday I finished the hats and George carried them down to
stetson they paid him one dollar a dozen there was 28 hats

I done the work helped George fix the pipe to the little stove in the
south room George went over to Frank Gallups to see his calves Luluh and
her grandmother come up here Just at night we went over to Ahery Pikes in
the evening played Euchre some I made 4 pies and 1 loaf of cake and some
brown bread

Cloudy rainy in the evening
I done the work moped the kitchen floor and sewed some on a new sheet
George plowed some Mr Bickford worked for him in the afternoon

Cold windy and rough
I got breakfast Georges Mother done up the Dishes and George and I went
over east in the forenoon and got a load of wood in the afternoon we went to
Jacksonville and to the springs

Cloudy rainy towards night
I got breakfast Georges Mother done up the work and we went to Mr
Donivans to an Auction over in Halifax Ernest came home with us he is going
to live with us now

I done the work George went up to Mr Gains Smiths and got him to kill his
pigs He eat supper here we cut up the pork in the evening

I done the work helped George salt down the pork Albert Bickford came
here and Sid Riches hired boy come to get george to help him catch a colt in
old Jims lot they could not catch it

I done the work George went to Mr Donivans and signed a paper for taking

I done the work George helped them thrash down to Bickfords Albert
Bickford came up this morning after him

I done the work cleaned the house some went to Ladarnga with George he
went to the dill wheeler place to see it

I done the work George got out one loud straw in the beets and I cleaned
out the north room
Mr Bickford and Robert Burrington came up and played cards we played all
night I made 6 mince pies
Churned had 10 lbs and 1 half of butter

Putnams paid Murry Tucker what he was oweing him
John Wilm came and brought Father here he eat supper here

Jim Smiths or george did and Father went hunting

I done the work Father is here yet we had a fire in the south room and
set in there some of the time

I done the work done the washing Father got water for me Lulah and
her Grandmother came up here in afternoon they eat supper here George
drawed some manure and some wood

I done the work Father went away from here this morning he went to
wilmington Asa Burmap and his folks came along here this afternoon George
went out hunting Ernest and I went out with him I made some Doughnuts for
supper

I done the work and moped the floor finished Isas stockings and commenced
on for Ernest George went down to Mr Bickfords alittle while this evening
he played cards with Albert Mr Bickford was gone to Jacksonville

Father came back about dark we played cards a little in the evening

male Father went down with him said he was going to Uncle Rufus Crosiers in

to Frank Gallups was gone all day

I done the washing knit some in the evening George went over to Frank
Gallups and got some things that he bought of him

I done the work we went to Jacksonville in the afternoon went to
Wilmington round by where Joel Graves lives and by Rice Cummings see Aunt
Marthas to Mr Graves a visiting Hattie Barker they live in Mr Graves house,
see Lucy Welds or Mrs Cummings to E Boyds she was there to work we got home
about half past 6 I got a posted card from Charlies wife she wrote that he
had the Typhoid fever

his buckets down from the sugar house to the shed

2 inches of snow fell Cloudy and snowy
I done the work Baked an old hen and had currie pudding for supper Chan
Corse came to trade horses with George we went to Jacksonville in Evening to
post office did not get any letters

Cloudy cool and snowy the wind blew some
I done the work and sewed some George worked up to the sugar house I
did not feel very well was most sick. Mr Roberts folks got the colts and
cattle that was on shearer hill George see Henry Roberts and Almeran
Bickford when he was going up to the sugar house they were going after the
cattle

George went over to Frank Gallups and got some brick and lime he see Mr
Bickford about working for him on the arch

I done the work sewed some George went down to Mr Bickfords to see him
about working for him he did not work There was woman come from shelburne
and told us that Charley was dead his name was John Burrington we went to
wilmington in the evening

I got up and got breakfast his mother done up the work and we got ready
and went down to shelburne to Charleys funeral Johny was there when we got
there

We are down to Charleys the funeral was today at ten we went to the
middle of the town of shelburne to the meeting house Johny went with Charleys
wife Mr Putman and his wife come Just as we were having prayer at the house
Mr Allis did not get there until we had got to the meeting house they went
right home from the Grave

We are to Albert Putmans Came home with them last night from shelburne
Mertie came with us she is going to live with me now we got about 2 1/2 in
afternoon Mr Barber done the chores while we were gone one of the calves run
away and we cant find it any where Mr Barber came up after we got home

I done the work Mertie helped me I done the washing George went to look
after his calf did not find it I made 4 pies

I done the work Mertie helped me iron some George churned Mertie helped
him work it over I was about sick towards night my throat is sore and I feel
about sick Mr Barber killed his hog saturday sent us up a peace of the
liver I had it for supper when we got home sunday

I done the work and went to wilming with George got Mertie a new dress
got some cotton cloth and George got some cloth to line his coats with we
stopped in to Mrs Bartletts

I have made 1,90 pies this year

I done the work Mr Bickford worked here on the arch he fixed it all they
are a going to this fall
Albert Gates and his wife and Rob Burrington and his wife and two
children came here in the evening they staid till about eleven oclock

Jacksonville to a lecture in the evening I was almost sick in the evening
they got home about half past 9 oclock There was a Dance to Robert
Burringtons we did not go

wilmington with us I went into Mr Childs and see Mrs Bartlett she was at
work there George got a Certificate up to Mr Crosbys
Churned had 13 lbs butter

I done the work and mended my under clothes and Georges went down to Mrs
Barbers a little while Mr Bickford called in here this morning he brought
home George sugars that he borrowed the other night George and Mertie went
to west Halifax

get his boy to come and do the chores Jasper Boyd and his boy came here and
Otis Kingsley came here to see one of the horses

George and I went to Mr Bennetts in hinsdale we got there about 3 oclock
Mary was pretty smart has got quite a pretty baby looks like Mr Bennett
they call his name Daton Ernest Bennett Isola went with us Hazetts folks
came in in the evening and visited with us
