Darrell,
Do you have a list of your list rules? It seems that I was in err posting
about *Crosburgh* the other day. All the other CC lists that I am on allow
us to post whatever is pertinent to management of our sites. So I would
like to know what those rules are. It seems rather unfair to people if we
don't know what you expect. That way we can make a determination of whether
we would like to be on the list or not.
Thanks for your time,

Hi, Jan:
There has been some discussion about what should and should not be allowed,
most of it off list. I expect to post a definitive statement on VTGEN in
the next day or two, having -- tentatively -- survived the Capricon SF
Convention of the weekend.
However, please make note that your post on "Crosburgh" would be considered
on topic under almost any version of the rules that I am contemplating, as
long as there was *some* connection made with the potential activities of a
VTGenWeb coordinator. Since it can be easily shown that knowing whether a
specific town ever existed in Vermont, and if it did what county it was in,
is pertinent to organizing VTGenWeb web sites, the question was on topic.
For general rules regarding list behavior, please look at:
http://home.sprynet.com/~darrellm/list_rules.htm
I realize that the rules listed on that page do not, for the most part,
apply to what you are asking.
