I have put online a copy of the book published by the residents of Newfane in honor of
their Centennial Celebration. There were 700 copies, 256 pages each published in 1874
and distributed to the residents.
I have one of the more worn copies (brittle and browning pages). I have put online the
PDF images of the 256 pages and tried to harness them so they could be easily accessed.
This book has several titles that it seems to go by:
Newfane's First Century
History of the town and Church with Procedings of the Centennial Celebration
The full title is :
History of the Town of Newfane, Vermont 1774-1874. Centennial Proceedings and Other
Historical Facts and Incidents Relating to Newfane, the County Seat of Windham County,
Vermont
The whole book mostly PDF images can be located in the web site subdirectory
"nfc".
