Hello again,
For the second time in about as many months, I am asking for your vote to
place me in the SEMA CC Rep position! My undying thanks to all those CCs who
voted and helped me get this far <g> but with only a 5.641% difference
between my opponent, Fred Smoot and myself, we are down to "crunch-time"!
I want to represent my fellow coordinators on this Advisory Board and use
my many years of working as a CC volunteer to make sure our focus is on the
true backbone of this organization, the County Coordinators of the USGenWeb.
I believe in honesty, integrity, communication and fairness and I feel that
I can make a difference by bringing these qualities to the table of
USGenWeb. I firmly believe that we need to get back to the basic premise of
this project and that the county coordinators are, in fact, the backbone of
the USGenWeb. We have strayed away from the fact that the CCs in this
project are volunteers. We do this because we love genealogy. And we have
allowed this project to become more like a business led by a small group
instead of being led by the coordinators that make the project possible!
These are the qualities and promises that I will bring to the position of
SEMA CC Representative, if elected.
I will always listen and weight the concerns of my fellow CCs in any
decision that I make. I know you can't please everyone but I will try to
make fair and workable decisions that will hopefully, benefit the CCs in the
SEMA region.
If you have any questions regarding my candidacy or personal information,
please contact me at syshephard(a)charter.net
You have the privilege and the right to make your personal choice for the
position of SEMA CC Rep. Make your voice heard in the USGenWeb.Please Vote!!
Thank you,
Suzanne Yelton Shephard
