Carol,
I just want you to know that anytime you think you might like to come back
to Dinwiddie Co., I will happily return the page to you or we can be co-CCs.
Even though you and I probably do not have direct lines that cross, our
families certainly do because my project for many years has been to trace
every line of Pegrams from our common ancestor and that gets into some of
your families. Over the years, your work has helped me tremendously and I am
just sorry that your situation has forced you to give up some of your areas.
Even though I do not know your situation, I can understand because for
almost 3 years I had critically ill family members that took most of my
time, even though I had full time help and nurses for most of the time.
Naturally, any work I could do with GenWeb was minimal. Now I am alone and
have nothing else to do. I thought I would travel but have gotten beyond the
point that I can do much traveling. Still, I may try to get to Richmond for
a few days to see what I might find to use for the Dinwiddie page. Bad
thing, I too have gotten older and am not nearly as productive as I would
like to be but at least I have the time now. I will try to be a good
caretaker for Dinwiddie because I know you have roots there also. Do you
actually have a Pegram line? If so, I would love to know where it crosses.
If you have anything to suggest in the way of materials, please do let me
know. I think I will probably try to hire someone to work in the library in
Richmond to transcribe or copy some things I can use. Dinwiddie, along with
Warren, really are the only areas that I really care about trying to do
well.
Thanks for all you have done for so many! You have left very big footprints
indeed. I can't fill them but I will do my best.
Nola

Freddie,
Thanks for the warm welcome. I am thrilled to have an opportunity to
work
in Dinwiddie Co. where almost half my research has centered for the past
20
years. Carol Morrison, the current CC is the person whose work first
got me
interested in the USGenWeb.
Freddie, I think you were the first CC I ever addressed an e-mail to
many
years ago. I was probably looking for Morgans in SW Virginia at the
time.
Anyway, I am happy to join the great Virginia team.
