My old Netscape Gold gave out and I have just installed Netscape 4.05.
On
Netscape Gold there was a feature "view in browser" which I used while
designing new web pages. I don't see this, or haven't found it yet on
Netscape 4.05. Can anyone give me an assist?
I also have IE. Does it have this feature, and if so, where?
Carmen,
I have Netscape Communicator 4.04. Which should be the same. I d/l it last
month.
What you do is where they have all lined up:
File Edit View Go Communicator Help
1. click on "Communicator" and you get a menu
2. from the menu click on "page composer"
3. from there you can start designing a new web page or
4. you can click on the "open" button and find the file you want to work on
in there. After you locate it, you click on it and it will appear on that
page.
5. start editing.
6. when finished, "save" from file menu

I have Internet Explorer 4.0 ver. 4.72.....
I just took a look at it and I don't see any way to edit a web page in it.
Maybe because I'm not that familiar with it. I try to alway check my web
pages in it, also, after I've uploaded them as IE and Netscape reads and
writes code a little differently and I want my code to work well on both
browsers.
