Do we have any available counties? Kevin sounds like someone that would
be great for VAGenWeb.
Would anyone have a problem with his hosting a page for Manchester?

Linda,
My name is Kevin Lett and I am a junior at the College of William
and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. I am a history major and have been
an amateur genealogist for about 6 years. My main county of interest is
Mecklenburg, but I simply love the state of Virginia.
I am writing in hopes that I might get lucky and be able to maintain
a Virginia county's web page. I know that all of them are taken, but I
am crossing my fingers that maybe there is one that the current "owner"
is tired of or needs to abandon. If that is the case, I would love to
be considered as their replacement.
To give you a little background, I am a native of Richmond, Virginia
and a frequent visitor at the Archives there. (I was there every single
day this summer.) I have a vast knowledge of the state and it's records
and would love to help the project. I have good computer skills and can
easily maintain a high-tech web page. I have plenty of time and mounds
of enthusiasm.
If there are no pages available, I would like to propose a page for
the defunct city of Manchester, Virginia. It was independent of
Richmond from 1753-1910 and deserves a page in its own right. I would
love to being work on such a page immediately if you would give me the
go-ahead and the information I would need to get started.
Well, I have given you my best sales pitch and hope that the cards
might be dealt in my favor. Let me know if anything is possible in the
near future.
Kevin Lett
