The stamped page 150 is missing from all copies made of the microfilm. The
page is also missing in the index of SK Publishing's Census 1820 for
Shenandoah Co, VA.;
Ancestry.com and
genealogylibrary.com. Through the
efforts of Rick Monroe, who first suspected that the page was missing, and
Tom Pierce, who obtained the page from NARA, we now have that missing page
online. Our heartfelt thanks also goes to Kristopher Johnson, archivist at
NARA, who copied and sent the missing page to Tom Pierce.
The actual census images are presented as white text on black background
which is the copied version of stamped page 150. These images are also
presented inverted, white background with black text.
Soon to be online at A Country Rag,
http://www.geocities.com/~countryrag/mainfram.html is an article by Don
Silvius giving the details of the discovery of the missing stamped page 150.
Look for Don's article under "Holler Notes" on the mainframe page.
