Dear Listers:
Seeking a look up on Jacob Hull Burner, born 1799 in Pocahontas Co (?),
married a Keziah Stump in 1822 in VA (possibly Bath Co., VA?). Jacob died in 1889
in Barbour Co., WV, but I have been unable to locate a year or place of
death for his wife.
As far as I know, they had two children: Morgan Hull Burner (1823-1890) and
Martha A (1840).
I THINK they may have had another child, but am trying to connect him:
George Washington (1830-1912). I have not been able to location a marriage date of
location for this George, so I do not know parents names. I'm hoping that the
1850 census could clear this up for me. I do know from the 1900 census that
GW was married ca. 1856 (somewhere in WV, possibly in the counties of Lewis,
Barbour or Randolph) so I'm pretty sure, or hoping anyway, that he is still
in the household of his father (whoever that is) in 1850.
Another hint, if I am wrong with the county. I do know Pocahontas Co was
formed in 1821 from Pendleton, Greenbrier, Randolph and Bath Counties in
Virginia, so I'm hoping that Pocahontas (as I have been told Jacob was born in) is
correct. If not, I am truly sorry for not knowing my full facts. I'm just
starting my research on this line and was hoping that this could all lead me in
the right places and faces.
Thank you so much for your time and effort.
Sincerely, Tina
