I use FreeFind and all you do is set the Build the search index option to
"Extended Indexing", which will spider all kinds of different pages,
including pdf.
Linda Lewis also mentioned in her email that Google searches pdfs, too. So
take a look at whatever kind of search engine you're using to make the
settings.

I know this has been discussed before - but I am unable to find specifics in
past emails.
Does anyone here know how to create such for those who just want to put a
pdf online of a document that visitors can search rather than having to
download the pdf and/or read the whole thing to see if perhaps what they are
searching for is in the pdf?
I inherited a site with such on it and right now one would have to either
read the pdf online or download it and read it - would like to make it
searchable.
