The CC had all the information on her server. I know of some of the people
who worked with her or worked themselves and submitted the information for
that site. But, I have lost contact with them too but can try and see if
they are still living. What I see is when a lot of us started this we were
in our 40's - 50's and time has moved on. I can speak for myself.
I can give all my passwords to another person for the sites I have on RW
but sites that are on private servers will never be accessed to retrieve
the information.
Another question, those of us who have our states on another server besides
RW how are you handling it as far as passwords. Example: My name is on
the server as the owner, my account information is on the server as the
payee, but all the state information is on this server, so how is access
passed on if I should pass? I have to start thinking about leaving access
for others too.

when I ask to host one of my counties on my site, my state co ask me
for
ftp access. I set up that so in case something happens to me, the state
leader can retrieve the pages. I also keep copies in my folder on my pc and
thumb drive since rw caused us to loose an entire county some time back.
Rather than ask rw for pages there are other places like
angelfire.com
and me and access genealogy. I used a angelfire account for 18 years now
with no problems, has an online editor .
