My BIG issue is that a visitor has no idea who to send comments, updates
or other donations to. The "Back" button on your browser is NO help at
all. It just takes you back to the website you jumped in from. Not a
page with information on the Archives.
Doing a simple page like that in HTML is really simple. Once you have
the template set up it takes maybe two minuted longer to add the
information, if that.
OK, look, I realize that redoing everything from scratch again would be
a MAJOR rebuilding project. I'm not suggesting that it should be done.
All I'm asking is how hard would it be to add the coordinators name and
address. Not easy, I know but isn't it a service to the researcher that
gets sent to the page for something. Are we here for our benefit or theirs?

The format is what the USGenWeb Project uses. ALL of their pages are
plain,
just text on white with the header information. None of their pages give
link-back--- use the browser back button. It does say COGenWeb Project
Archives (the two letter State changes depending on which archive you're
on).
I'll probably get blasted for stating this but... Whoever complained must
have lots of time on their hands. Middle initial not aligned? -- geez. Be
thankful the info got online at all. I know that is not the PC thing to
say, but websites aren't found in nature. There's work involved. People
could help-- suggest the person volunteers as a typist.
