Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
That's great! Hooray for the archives!

Thanks Pat but the emails I received (and they were in my spam folder) were
from Gayle Triller's email address to the national mailing list but they
show up as from her address, not the mailing list address.

The EC's programmer, Larry Stephens has designed an absolutely
fantastic new program for us, with new features that will make
everything easier for everyone from project coordinators to those of
us who simply want to update our member registration. But as is the
case with all new software, there are bugs that are only discovered
when it is tested.
The EC apologizes to those of you who are having difficulty voting,

I don't know how many of you actually know what I've been dealing with
healthwise for the past year, but the Advisory Board does. I did want to
now share the good news with all of you.
I was diagnosed with cancer finally in February. In April of this year, I
had a radical removal of the cancer and then found out that I had to have
lymph nodes removed. That was done earlier this month on June 14th, and on
June 21 my brother arrived in Miami Beach to help me pack and move back to
Indiana. My hope is that this will just be temporary, but I am currently
very graciously being hosted by a USGenWeb member in his home and am very
grateful for his generosity. My goal is to get to the point where I can be
back in Florida before too long. My daughter lives in South Florida and I
don't like being this far away from her, but she is very understanding
about everything.
But I feel like I have been given a new lease on life because this past
Monday I received the call from my surgeon who now says I am cancer free
and I do not need radiation. I'm grateful for all the blessings that have
been bestowed on me through all of this through this journey.
Just wanted you all to know that things are now looking up for me
healthwise! And I am eagerly looking forward to hopefully serving as your
National Coordinator for another year and attending the conference in
Raleigh, NC next year.
Thanks.

having trouble, you can bet that others are as well.

I realize that folks are disappointed that there is difficulty in voting
again this year, but being snippy to people is just not appropriate. The
EC has been doing everything they can to make sure people who want to vote
get to, so please let's leave the sarcasm and snippiness out of this. It
is never appropriate at any time. If any of you were working on this as
hard as the current EC or any of the past EC members have, you wouldn't
appreciate the tone some folks give at this time period.
The person managing all of the voting software doesn't even have a county
in the project, and for some reason he does it out of the goodness of his
heart. So, let's just relax. There is a whole month within which to
vote. I didn't receive my password in my email either when I sent in. It
recognized the email address and said it sent it to me, but I haven't
received mine either.
So let's just stick to information only and leave everything else out of
our emails, please. Thanks for your anticipated cooperation.
And for people who have said they have never been able to vote, the best
thing to have done was address that issue when it first occurred. This can
get worked out but will take patience. And remember, the man handling our
software also has a job. Thanks for understanding.

Just a heads up that I'm slow to respond just now as I restore files. My
system was hit by hackers. First was to protect my bank accounts. Now I'm
slowly but surely restoring programs and files.
They also wiped out my Expansion drive that housed all of my web files, but
happiness is that my 35,000+ photos are on the passport that was not
plugged in at that time.

What is the email address that the email regarding passwords was supposed to

I haven't seen one yet so need to search my email to see if it's in spam or
