Hi, all. I hope someone out there can help me. . I am trying to locate a list of burials in the Old Toyah Vale Cemetery. Frank Curtis, a young man who came from AR to TX with lung problems (probably TB), wrote a letter in 1898 from the Casey Ranch to another ranch (the Curtis Brothers, Henrietta,TX) describing his poor health. The letter was datelined Toyah Vale, Texas.
Frank Curtis does not seem to be in the 1900 TX or AR census and we suspect he may have died shortly after writing the letter. Does anyone know of a list of burials in the Old Toyah Vale Cemetery and/or other cemeteries in the area? Or would there be any death records for that time period (1898-1900)? Does anyone know where a Casey ranch was located at the turn of the (last) century? I would be grateful for any assistance.
