I just wanted to jump in with everyone else in thanking you for the time and
effort you expend in sharing your many stories. I knew very little of my
father's family's history and through your many stories, even though you
don't reference them direct, you have certainly helped me understand the
happenings of the era. God Bless You and keep sharing.

Great Grandad Robert wyly's one eyed brother Bn F. Wyly had a cotton yard
in Minewola, He had run a store in Stephenville after he and his uncle
finally closet the Atlanta. Ga. wholesale grocery in 1890. He also had
3000 acres inside the Trinity Levees (Some now developed) which he sold
for $1. oo per acre to move to Mineola. I have a letter he wrote from
there , giving Wyly, Cleveland, and Sevier historyhe learned from his
frandmother Sarah Hawkins Clark Wyly and she had had learned from her
grandad Gov. John Sevier.
He lost his eye in the Battle of Knoxville, Civil war and had a ranch
near the old Crockett, Erath County school.
What was behind the moves to Mineola? Oil boom? I know some from Erath
County who did the Corsicana oil boom.
