This is from my grandfather, Tullie Herring, who
turned 99 in January! Here is what he said when my Mom
asked him about it:
Tullie says the Yancys owned the gin. It was built
before he was born.
Krid Stegler owned the grocery store and there was a
Post office and filling station.
HE played ball with the Yancy boys when he was about
13. That's all he remembers
for now. He'll think about
it some more.
