I have some Morgan info from neighbors in Bosque County, just south of
Erath County line. One Squire Morgan was a big frame man who loved
farming, and art and poetry. One of his poems was read at his funeral.
His brother J.P.Morgan (Not the East Coast tycoon, ) once owned Morgan-
Campbell Ranch near Brazos Point , south of Glen Rose- he also owned
Morgan & Louisians Railroad and Steamship lines, which sold out toTexas
Central RR with Walnut Springs Roundhouse, shops, and hospital and
college. They sold out to Katy and old tracks are gone with low cost
homes built on Right of way from Waco to Albany Texas / sheet rock
plants. One section of Rr still connects Gorman peanut mills to Dublin
RR station, owned by the Peanut mill . .
Squire Morgan lived back to back with our Walnut Springs lot. I
finished my second degree at NTSU Denton commuting with others in summer
school sessions. When I got my final two A's , our daughter ran to Mrs.
Morgan and told her I passed. We looked up through a peach tree or two,
and here came Mrs. Morgan carrying a family heirloom wood Ingraham shelf
pendulum click with a separate alarm. It still works and is well past
110 years old, but noisy . I was a pallbearer for Squire Morgan if my
memory isn't slipping.
Another Mrs. Morgan now teaches in University High School in Waco.
HEATH finally rang a bell after I got past Heath Candy bars. TED
HEATH was a teacher or administrator and sometimes coached or officiated
in 6 man football games. His name should be in Meridian, Texas records.
That was in 1960's and he would be on Retired Teacher records in Austin
Retired Teacher Association records and county records. in Meridian
Courthouse. or in School records or annuals.

I am trying to locate Betty HEATH. I am told that she lived in
Stephenville for a while. Wrote a cooking column for their paper.
Possibly owned a book/gift shop. Possibly on City Council.
We may be distant cousins. Families have not had contact in many
Thanks for any assistance.
