Does anyone have a copy of the burials at Duffau Cemetery or live close enough to check on the proximity of two graves?
I really need to know if Elizabeth GALLAWAY (died 27 Oct 1914) and John J CANADY (died 1957), who are both buried there, are buried in the same part of the cemetery.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Can anyone give missing links? One Shaw maried dad's Uncle Gus Hatchett-
another Celia Shaw lived to be 116- some recordssay 112. She was active
when she told us her age. Tom Shaw once ran a Buggy mail route
inJohnsville, but his palsy did not let him drive a car. Were the Shaws
in the counties below related??
Where was Boyce House born?Huffman, Prater, Musick, Mahan? I knew of some
by that name. Atkins, Stigler and hatchett families had connections

Subject: Re: Visiting Erath and Eastland Counties
As you'll be able to figure out, I'm rather new to genealogy research,
but have found more online than I ever expected to. I will be in the
area, so wanted to poke around Erath/Eastland/Callahan Counties to get a
feel of where they were born and raised their families
Paternal GRANDFATHER: John Lewis Musick (1885 - 1964) and most of his
siblings were born in Erath/Eastland area.
My great-grandparents: Joseph H Musick (3 Mar 1853 - 3 Jul 1911) and
Lucinda Elliot House Musick (31 Mar 1867 - 2 Aug 1922) and children are
shown in the 1900 census in Callahan County. 1910 census puts them in
Eastland County. They were married in Comanche County in Oct 1882.
The oldest child Henry Elliot Musick (1883 - 1890) was probably born in
Erath or Eastland and is buried in Desdemona.
Joseph H is buried in Desdemona with child Henry. According to family
lore, Lucinda is buried in Round Grove Cemetery -- wherever that is.
My main question is even before all that -- here come the gaps!! Lucinda
Elliot House Musick was the daughter of _____ House (no info available)
and Lucinda ______ (either Constable or Gillespie), (27 Dec 1847 - 29 Nov
1898), born in Indiana?. Her father's first name possibly was Elliot.
Again, family lore: Lucinda and __?__ House bought property to begin a
horse farm (date unknown, but probably early- to mid-1860's). They had 3
little girls (Mary Jane, Susan and Lucinda Elliot). He was shot and
killed by a horse thief when Lucinda was about 6 months old (around Oct
1867). Her mother subsequently married Charles Mahan (in 1868), had
children, Mr. Mahan died (Erath County, 1876), then she married James
Loveless, had children, and died when the youngest Loveless boy (John
Leonard? Loveless) was about 12 years old.
How do I find Mr. House?
How do I find Lucinda's real maiden name? One of the Loveless boys'
death certificate says that his mother's maiden name was Constable. Many
other people say that she was Gillespie/Galespy (daughter Susan was Susan
Galspey House, married to Wayman Pierson (Stephenville, 1888); haven't
found daughter Mary Jane yet, except that she married A B Brown in 1880
in Erath County).
GRANDMOTHER: Martha Ann Prater (1879 - 1955) was born in Eastland County
of William Samuel Prater and Nancy Ellen Huffman. Married to Esco
Anderson for a short period of time, then to John Musick in 1903. Most
of her info is straightforward and the questions are before her parents
came to Eastland County from Arkansas. Her brothers George and Leonard
Prater died in Erath County in 1979 and 1953, respectively. So she's OK
for the moment.
Hope this makes some sense to you. As you can see, I have some info, but
serious gaps as well.
Thanks for any help or stories you can confirm or deny about these folks.
