Our central library has a large bank of computers available for patrons. Due
to people who come in when the library opens, stay all day on one computer (9
AM to 10 pm) they finally had to put a timer on. Now we have 45 minutes a day
to use one of their computers.
These people who are without apparant means of support or any kind of work
ethic have nothing better to do than tie up the computers. I know that many
are mentally ill and it's too bad that there isn't some kind of help for them
but after having watched the problems they cause, I am extremely cautious
about who I meet on the internet. It wouldn't surprise me if your "strange
one" has time to kill and is making a few bucks off it.
