If you will reply to your queries, you will receive lots of volunteer help.
Every cemetery reading, most of the Goodspeed, some of the Civil war units
and and too much to tell, all came from simply writing back and asking if
they had anything to share. They typed it in and I coded the pages. We've
become good friends and have lot's of fun.

Hey guys come on...
What is wrong with attendance is that (in general) not enough new
information is
posted quick
enough. I would agree that TN is far above average in volunteer effort
and
support, but there needs
to be something more than checking up on Query's every couple of
months to
draw people back.
We need more censuses, cemetery transcriptions, courthouse documents
transcribed and
put online
quicker. I know it is hard to get volunteers, and maybe we should ask
more. My humble suggestions:
1. on index site and in more visable places ask for volunte
2. We all some of the major "players" doing genealogy in our counties,
ask them
3. Send an e-mail to all your queries, to check links & ask them
(used
this a lot, & to inform of
major changes)
This is just my opinion, but I surf around the US GenWeb too and this is
what I run
into. There are
counties I do not even bother going to anymore, because there is
nothing
new except queries for 6
mos. or a year.
