I would be for the "all" catagory, if it automatically went to the trash
bin. If a person can't narrow their ancestor down better than the whole
state, looks like they need to do some more research om their own,
instead of sitting back & shotgun blasting & hoping someone else will do
their work. I get enough shotgun queries, right now. I realize that we
were all newbys at one time, but, some haven't a clue as to where they
want to look. If their ancestor was Joe Cannon, he must be from Cannon
Co., right ? Bill Coffee had to have been raised in Coffee Co. , right ?
No, he's not in any census record that I have,for Coffee Co., but he was
married in Shelby County, 200 miles away, in 1873. Oh yeah, granny did
say something about Memphis was where they lived, now that you mention
it.
