Hello all,
ETHS would like to include links to any TNGENWEB county/project on our ETHS
internet resources page to any county/project coordinator who would also be
willing to offer a link to the ETHS web pages from their page.
Currently, we have links listed for the following counties/projects:
Anderson, Bledsoe, Blount, Bradley, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke, Cumberland,
Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hamilton, Hancock, Hawkins, James, Jefferson,
Johnson, Loudon, McMinn, Monroe, Morgan, Polk, Roane, Scott, Sullivan,
Unicoi, and Union. (As well as the TNGENWEB and USGENWEB main pages)
If your county/project already has a link to ETHS and I have not included
it in the list above, please contact me and I will rectify the situation.
If you do not yet have a link to ETHS, but would like to exchange links,
please also contact me at your earliest convenience.
In either case, be sure to send me the preferred URL for our link to you.
The preferred URL for links to ETHS is
http://www.korrnet.org/eths/
Anyone wishing to link directly to the First Families of Tennessee project
should use the following URL--
http://www.korrnet.org/eths/firstfam.htm (We
do ask that if you provide a link directly to First Families of Tennessee
that you include a mention that the project is sponsored by the East
Tennessee Historical Society)
We welcome the opportunity to provide links to any and all Tennessee
counties/projects, but especially hope to provide links to all the East
Tennessee TNGENWEB counties. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Please also be aware, if you currently list links to ETHS or ETHS projects
such as the First Families of Tennessee that point to domains other than
korrnet.org, you are not actually pointing visitors to the
officially-created ETHS web pages. The only pages created by the staff of
the East Tennessee Historical Society (and therefore the most accurate and
up-to-date pages) will be hosted within the
korrnet.org/eths/ directory. We
ask that any link specifically naming the East Tennessee Historical Society
and/or its projects such as the First Families of Tennessee, point only to
the web pages created by the historical society.
Thanks folks. I look forward to chatting with all of you soon.
Sincerely,
Shane S. Rhyne, Public Relations Coordinator
East Tennessee Historical Society
