I would like to take this time to tell you folks how much your
messages of thank yous have touched my heart. I am truly glad that I
was able to help so many folks get started and continue on as county
hosts.
Nancy indicated in her message "Billie "birthed" TnGenWeb, but you
are the one who taught it to stand and walk and talk...." -- neither
one of us would have gotten far if the county hosts had not given
this project the breath of life or it's personality. Credit must be
given where credit it due -- and that is to all of you.
Without this great group of county hosts TNGenWeb would be just
another XXGenWeb. Proof of that is the turnover rate of the county
hosts in this project. We have a very low turnover rate, and 99% of
those that leave are due to personal reasons, and we even have folks
come back after a time to host here again. I am so very honored to be
associated with and to have represented this fine group of
volunteers.
Please feel free to drop me a note anytime, I will still be here as
one of your peers as the Greene County host, which is all I ever
wanted to be when I joined this organization. However, wouldn't trade
these last 18 months as SC for anything, as I would not have grown to
know my fellow county hosts as much as I have otherwise.
