After looking at ONELIST and their TOS, it appears that in order to use
their service, we must give them certain information about ourselves and
then be subject to advertising and/or junk mail. All this so that I can
sleep nights knowing that no one can look at our archived mail. Such a
deal!!!!!!

Subject: [TNGEN-L] Onelist? Read on...
Why were we told the mail list was being moved? Because it was being
archived
and everyone could see it?
I ask you all to read the following paragraph from Onelists terms of
service.
This may spark new controversy. Do I think the discussion should go
to
tnchat? No! It was announced here so lets discuss it here. This affects
all
of us not just the ones subscribed to tnchat.
<<from Onelist>>
ONELIST is providing Member with a capability to send email to multiple
recipients via the ONELIST mailing list system. In addition, ONELIST is
providing Member with the capability to create and manage mailing lists.
All
email messages sent through the ONELIST mailing list system may be
archived
and viewable on the ONELIST World Wide Web site.
To read the whole terms of service go to:
http://www.onelist.com/info/tos.html
Further, in all of the free and for charge mail lists I have seen, there
is a
clause that says they are archived.
I say let the majority rule and leave the mail list where it is! We are
all
adults and know better than to post our real addresses or social
security
numbers.
