Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
And, CONGRATULATIONS and thanks to you Bridgett, and
Billie, too, our leaders
(present and past)for helping all of us get to this point!
And, to Nancy, and Jim for making things easier along the
way!

Congrats to Bridgett and all TN CC's!!
Makes all that hard work worthwhile when you know it is being used and
appreciated! I always wondered why we got so many queries in Tennessee!
Seems like everyone went through there at one time or another.

WOW! Bridgett. Congrats!
How far back does that go, from June 1996 or since you remodeled the
pages?
I remember when we were all so proud when our state pages reach
10,000
hits. <g> Billie and I had a friendly competition going between TN
and VA.

Oops, sorry about that last one if it makes it through. Why do they
put the 'send' button right next to the 'quote' button????
Congratulations! That's great news. I'm a little envious of you
eastern states, since logically the further west you go, the fewer
the researchers. We'll soon be hitting our first 100,00 since Nov. 8,
1997 when we moved to Rootsweb, and we're hoping to have it happen on
the NEGenWeb anniversary, June 15.
Speaking of anniversaries, has anyone thought about celebrating
USGenWeb's third one coming up this next month?
Connie
I answered this one.
For folks who have just joined our fine project. On Dec. 5, 1997, the
main website had to be reconstructed along with the counter being
reset at that time. The best I could remember is we had over 200,000
visitors, but didn't know how many over so I just said 200,000
(didn't want to be greedy).
So if you go to the main page it will read 809,510 (or more now),
then add the 200,000 on to it.
