Willie "Trim" Snodgrass
Willie "Trim" Snodgrass, 73, 214 B. South Hills Drive, Elizabethton, died
Sunday, June 25, 2006, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Snodgrass was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late
Daniel and Dessie Garland Peters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by three sisters, Rada Williams, Billie Jean Arnold and Betty Lou
Pierce, and a brother, Conley H. Peters.
Mrs. Snodgrass was a member of Valley Forge Church of God and had retired
from North American Rayon Corporation.
Survivors include two step-sons, Leon Snodgrass and special friend, Norm
Barnes, and Lynn and wife, Ann Snodgrass; several step-grandchildren; four
sisters, Frances Richardson, Bristol, Georgia Harris, Hickory, N.C., and
Violet "Cussie" Barnett and Carolyn "Bugs" Hyder, both of
Elizabethton;
several nieces and nephews; a special great-nephew, Jay Don Livingston; and a
sister-in-law, Emma Peters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Snodgrass will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday,
June 27, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Tittle officiating.
Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, who
are requested to assemble at the funeral chapel at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday, will be
Chad Livingston, Tony White, Curtis Hyder, Bob Sawyer, Clayton Woodby, Kelly
Geagley, Gerald Peters, Leonard Peters and Dallas White. Honorary pallbearers
will be Stanley Barnett, Chester Davenport and Anthony Buck. The family would
like to express special thanks to the staff of the 2500 floor of the Johnson
City Medical Center and to the Carter County Rescue Squad. The family will
receive friends at the funeral chapel from 12 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the
service hour. Friends may also call at the residence at anytime. Online
