Ida M. Andes
Ida M. Andes, 76, 363 Pine Hill Road, Elizabethton, went to be with her
Lord, Monday, September 18, 2006, at her residence following an extended
illness.
Mrs. Andes was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Dave
P. and Minnie Bullock Ellis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by her husband, Charles Andes, two sons, Eddie Andes and Mark Andes, and
a sister, Mabel Birchfield.
Mrs. Andes was a member of Keenburg Free Will Baptist Church and a retired
employee of Hook's Restaurant.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Hunter, Elizabethton; a son and
daughter-in-law, David and Sherri Andes, Elizabethton; a grandson, Charles
Andes, and a great-granddaughter, Charlsea Andes, both of Johnson City; three
sisters, Juanita White, Atchison, Kan., Selda Wilson, Elizabethton, and Gladys
Nance, Bluff City; one step-granddaughter, Jessica Napier, and two step-
grandsons, Jeremy Napier and Mark Napier, all of Elizabethton. Several nieces
and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Mrs. Andes will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday,
September 21, at Keenburg Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Derl Curry
officiating. Music will be under the direction of Harvey Crusenberry and
Allison Crusenberry. Interment will follow at Keenburg Free Will Baptist
Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday,
September 20, at Tetrick Funeral Home. Friends may also call at the residence,
363 Pine Hill Road, Elizabethton, at anytime. Active pallbearers will be
Clarence Perry, Charles Andes, Eddie Stanley, Jeff McGee, John Hughes, Roy
Perry, Ron Pierce and Terry Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Morrell,
Joe Stanley, Dr. Ray Lamb and Staff, Kelly Mayden, Dr. Vivian Clark, Dr. David
Hecht and Jamie and Staff. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may
make donations to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, 209 S. Riverside
Drive, Elizabethton, TN 37643. Condolence messages may be sent to the family
