Additional Comments:
This deed of protery was once in Smith Co But is DEKALB Co Now
Also This deed is the ONLY PROOF That I have so far that my 4th GGF JOHN HICKS
was in Smith/Dekalb Co Tn. John married Nancy Bennett Marriage Bond Sept 1810
in Brunswick Co Va. Alot of Bennetts moved to Smith? later to became Dekalb Co
TN. Nancy is listed in 1820 Smith Co Census as Ann Hicks (she was listed in
the Salem Bapt. Chuch 1815. I do believe that John Hicks died before the 1820
Census. Thank You. And Hope this helps someone.
