I don't know the specifics of this situation, but how are you so sure that he
or his wife didn't have a brother by that name? Have you checked ALL the
husförhörslängder for both families to see the full names of everyone?
There is a name Broder, believe it or not. I found this on SweGGate, using
SHM Historika on the Facts --> Naming Practices pathway.
