Patronymic last names don't work for Swedish research. I do have a Wennersten folder
for a Swede with a surname (and lots of ancestors with the same surname) and I do have a
folder for my Danish grandfather who was a Bergstrøm (with lots of ancestors named
Bergstrøm. That is not a very Danish last name but he has it. I do have his ancestors who
married in Copenhagen in 1791. They had their banns in Sweden but the marriage was in
Copenhagen. Perhaps they were Swedish. I don't know anything earlier than that about
I purchased the Rosenberg CD from a Swede who is on the staff of the Swedish American
Genealogist Workshop (SAG Workshop). She brought some with her from Sweden when she came
to help us out. An online store named "Ancestors Swedish" used to sell it but I
don't see it on their site at the moment.
The fee-based SVAR site has it as one of their databases. I don't like the search
feature as well as the cd but it is better than nothing.
There is a Swedish site where the cd can be purchased. I've purchased from there. They
take credit cards.
My copy doesn't load on Windows 7 but Bo Johansson posted some ideas for using the old
Emihamn database on Windows 7 and maybe those tricks will work for that cd too.

LOL, Oh I know I'll likely have to resort things eventually. But I'm
trying to minimize it. :) My other lines I sort by surnames and it
works very well. But with my Swedish line since the surnames change in
each generation and I have children who used multiple surnames I don't
think it will work as easily.
Thank you for checking the place names for me. Yes it was Göteborg och
Bohus county, I'm sorry I should have included that. I'm just not with
it this week. :(
Where did you get the Rosenberg CD from? Is it only available from
Sweden or is there a Can/USA place we can get it?
Thanks I'll try at Anbytarforum to. :)

Ha! Good luck with that. I have changed how this is done many times over the years. ;-)
