... right now and after many hours of searching I have no idea of
Jöns' parents, birth/baptism, marriage, full births/baptisms of the
first 3 children, or his death/burial. And so I need some clues, or
something to work on as regards searches.
Strangely I cannot find a death record in Farstorp for Jöns. I believe
he is present in the 1789 PR. The line looks like Afs Sold: Lind, h.
--- The title looks like "Ihs Sold." (inhyses soldat = lodger soldier),
and there is a remark "m i tjänst" (the husband in service), so he was
probably not "afskedad" (discharged).
There was a war then, so he might have died in Finland, or in the
military hospital in Karlskrona.
Then, in the 1790 PR is Enkan Soldat Lisa. So, working approximately
on your understanding that PRs (tax records) were created around 15
November,
--- But I have seen rare examples of people who died in October or
November, in one case even in August, and still were in the
"mantalslängd" for that year...
and as long as I am correct in my reading of the 2 PRs, Jöns died
between 15 Nov 1789 and 15 Nov 1790. But where? I cannot locate him
in the Farstorp register. Perhaps he was out of parish and died or
was killed, then no repatriated for a funeral in Farstorp.
Ddss.nu doesn't have him either.
--- Ordinary people were usually not transported any distance to be
buried in their home parishes, and this early there would normally not
be any mention in the home parish death/burial book.
