Thank you Bo. You've gone the extra mile and I do appreciate it. It looks like I
will have to put this family on hold until I go to Salt Lake City and can go throught the
land and probate records.

Unfortunately, I'm having difficulty finding birth records to
match the information in the death records.
For Carl Nilsson, I found only one Carl Nilsson born 1689-1705
in Stockaryd (1136.3.32000, Stockaryd Vol. C:1 (1689-1783) p.69
right, 2nd from bottom). That Carl was born 2 Mar 1701 in Ormstorp
but his mother's name was Marit.
--- There are no births recorded between 20 March (page 53) and 18
August 1692 (page 54) in Stockaryd C:1.
Perhaps there is a missing page? A birth in May 1692 would fit with an
age of 81 1/4 years in August 1773.
But there could also be errors in the death record...
Unfortunately, there are no household examinations in Stockaryd
I thought perhaps Carl remembered a stepmother, rather than his
birth mother, but I can't find any marriage of Nils Carlsson and
Chirsten from 1689-1711. I did find what looks to be like a Nils
Carlson marrying Britta Jonsdotter of Walling on 4 Feb 1693
(GID 1136.3.28700, p.3, right, last item)
His parents may have married before the records started in 1689, or if
his mother was from another parish, it was customary to marry in the
bride's home parish.
I can't find a birth for Lisbeth Svensdotter either. Although her
death record says she was born in 1710, the Ramkvilla household
evaluations say she was born in 1703.
--- Perhaps the birth year in the death record is a typo for 1701? That
would fit with her age of 74 years in 1774.
Was she born in Stockaryd? There is a Rapanäs in Stockaryd
[1136.8.500]. Living there In 1789 was a Johannes Carlsson, of the
right age to be the Johannes who was the son of Carl and LIsbeth.
But there is a birth record for a Johannes born 13 Apr 1744 in
Stockaryd, father Carl Svensson of Ormstorp.
In the death record is said that one son lives in Puketorp(?), and there
is a Puketorp in Bäckaby parish, which is close to Ramkvilla.
There is for example a Peter Carlsson born 1731, at Puketorp in GID
1077.9.75400 [Jönköping] Bäckaby AI.2 HFL 1764-1797 page 138.
There is an Elisabeth born 21 Jun 1701 (GID 1136.3.32100, p. 70 left,
2nd item) with a mother Ingierd, but I can't make out the father's name.
--- The 21st(?) June (1701) was born Johan's and wife Ingierd's child at
Carried to baptism and christened the 24th "hujus" (of this month?),
called by the name Elisabeth, witneses are...
The father's name seems wrong. Unless she later uses the patronymic
after a step-father...
