Did you find the variant spellings primarily in the husförhörslängd (church books)?
Priests not only had widely varying penmanship, but also spelling abilities. I would say
all the variants refer to Jönköping. I also suspect it means the parish or possibly the
province (län), depending on how the place name is used (what other placee names are
associated with it). Birthdays can be wrong, but if you find a couple other entries to
compare it with, that really helps.
Good luck. From rainy Seattle...

He emigrated to US.
Do you have ANY more clues?
For example when and from where he emigrated, and did he emigrate with
Names and maybe birthdates for siblings or ather relatives?
I SUSPECT that Jennsiping or Jinsiping is really Jönköping.
I don't see his birth in November 1865 in Jönköping Kristina or
Jönköping Sofie parish (GID 100006.36.30000, 100006.36.28700).
So Jönköping probably means Jönköping county, not Jönköping city, or the
birthdate is wrong.
