Thanks so much for the advice. I'll have a special signature for my rootsweb
messages. Guess I felt pretty protected having used ancestry.com
to begin my online
documentation. If anything should happen to me, or the house, or the state of WA, I want
my information available to be retrieved.
Speaking of ancestry.com
, I wish I could send you an invitation to look over what I have.
We lived in Sweden for a year in the '80s, and every public library had access to a
full Swedish microfilm library of all the Swedish LDS stuff, so that's where I learned
to read some priest's terrible handwriting, and what certain terms meant, the
transition of the Swedish land ownership process, as well as the division of Sweden itself
(I also began my quest on my Danish family in Copenhagn). I traveled to a number of
regional archives (Lund and Vadstena) and researched there, so doing research online seems
almost like cheating it's so easy. However, I'm not entirely versed in the pros
and cons of all the online sources, so I may be back with more questions. Thanks again.

I don't think you can remove your name and address from any messages you have sent,
but it is best not to compound the problem by continuing to include it in every message.
Probably nothing bad will happen from the few messages you have sent, but don't push
This url has information about how to research in Swedish parish records, which are the
main source of information for Swedish genealogy. This is over a year old, but should help
you get started. (I haven't had time to update it.)
Do you have Swedish parishes for your Swedish ancestors?

Wow! Thanks for all the info! I've looked at all three of the sites you listed in the
past, but didn't know how they could best be used. Also, does the name and address
advice mean taking it off down here? Thanks again! Hej då!
