I had no trouble getting an answer. That person I contacted had 7 members of
my farfar's family listed on DISBYT and the names, places, and dates fit
exactly. It was very obvious we had a match. It took a while to get the
reply. Not everyone is quick at checking mail and it takes time to organize
materials so they can be exchanged. There might have been a week or two
between my letter and the reply.
I have another couple relatives on there. I believe that a museum is
researching them. I haven't written them yet.
Maybe some of the people are shy about writing in English and are trying to
have someone help with the letter.
Don't give up. It is a great idea to put your relatives on DISBYT and
advertise. I need to do that too. The more we share our information on
DISBYT, the greater that database will become.
