Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Gedmatch is AUTOSOMAL Only. - Ancestors & cousins. To only 6 or 7
The [ X ] is a gender specific chromosome. That tells if you are Male or
[ Y ] and [ Mitochondrial ] are parent specific tests. - All the Fathers/
Fathers, all the Mothers/Mothers. These two have different tests, datasets
& evaluation systems. Gedmatch does not have the computing power to add
those to its offering.
FTDNA Projects are about the best opportunity for [ Y ] discussions.

When I looked at a Gedmatch upload guide
https://www.yourdnaguide.com/upload-to-gedmatch/ it says:
"FTDNA customers must upload both autosomal and X-DNA raw data files before
they will be processed".
So reading that it appears Gedmatch are not interested in Y-DNA results on
their own, so at present I cannot upload.
It is strange how only the descendents of the Devon & Surrey Steer's use the
Rootsweb mailing list, where are the others from Derbyshire, Lincolnshire,
