Subject: [SRILANKA] De Meuron Regiment?
Hi all, any one have an idea what the present spelling is for the place of
origin - "Hemschwyl" this is for Jean Thomas Bar of the De Meuron
Regiment? The spelling is from the Index to the DRC Wolvendaal Marriage
Registers by Sam Mottau.
The other spelling is "Hemreschwill" for Johann Thomas Baer also of the De
Meuron Regiment and this comes from the VOC-sea Voyages online data base;
to me they appear to by one and the same person.
