There seems to be evidence of (at least) two children. There are three
occasions where Mary Elinor MILLS travels to Ceylon with children.
Also on Ancestry - there is a 'public family tree' showing further
details of one of those children.... and it looks as if there are living

Arthur Edward and mary Elinor MILL's deaths have been found in the UK.
I would still love to know if there were any births of children to them
after their marriage in 1917.
Greetings from the UK.
I have been researching the grandchildren of W. G. NIXEY, my 3 x great
uncle and inventor of Nixey's Refined Black Lead, and many other
One grandson in particular who I'm interested in is Arthur Edward MILLS
who was born in Bennington, Hertfordshire, England on 24th March 1889.
According to the website
he seems to have spent many years as assistant manager and manager of
tea plantations in Ceylon. One plantation in particular, "Royston X"
seems to indicate that he was the manager there until 1972. He would
have been 83 years old by then. Royston is the town in Hertfordshire,
England, where his wife Mary Elinor HARGREAVES was from. Could this
indicate he owned that plantation and named it after her home town?
Are there any records available in Ceylon of Arthur and Mary, such as
births or baptisms of any children they may have had, or of their deaths
Any help will be deeply appreciated.
Sincerest thanks to all,
