Check the newspaper section at the Sri Lanka Rootsweb site. Any
newspaper notices that I've transcribed, I've sent to the site. I
haven't transcribed any passenger lists.

Subj: Re: [SRILANKA] shipping lists
Roz,
My great-great grandfather - Richard FORD was in the army (Royal
Irish Regiment) in
Ceylon/Sri Lanka in 1836-1840, with his wife (Mary).
On 14th December 1839 a daughter - Diana - was born. Baptised at
Trincomalee on
26th January 1840. At the end of May 1840, the regiment
left for China (Opium War). I have been unable to find out what became
of Diana. Do you by y chance have a record of her dying in Sri Lanka up
to May 1840?
Many thanks
Chris Merry
