Yes, it is - I just had a quick look and found it.
I went to Google books advanced search, and just typed in Allen's Indian
Mail (with the apostrophe - that did make a difference to the search). I
then typed it in again with 1856 added in to the search box and it came up
as the first hit.
BTW, while I am here, if anyone is trying to research Burgher/Anglo-Indian
families who ended up in Malaya/Singapore, a lot of the Singapore papers can
be searched online at http://newspapers.nl.sg/
- a fabulously useful site,
with papers from before 1900, often with lavish descriptions of weddings,
