Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Your family line is impossible. Your great grandfather died in 1811. Which means your grandfather was born pre-1811. Let us say your grandfather was born in 1810. Even if you were 100 years old now, so born in 1898, your father would have to have
been 88 years old when you were born. Do you mean your great grandfather died in Colombo in 1911.

WYNNSTANLEY GRIGG WHO DIED IN AUSTRALIA THE REST OF THE FAMILY DIED IN
CEYLON AND I AM FINDING DIFFICULTY IN FINDING INFORMATION REGARDING BIRTHS
& DEATHS IN THAT COUNTRY.
