Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I gather that the Society's Family History Show will again be part of the
"Who Do You Think You Are? Live" event next year.
What does anyone know anything about the following 'event'?
Is it a spoiler?
If anything, it is the Brands Event that is the spoiler. Brands decided,
without telling anyone until the end of the afternoon on the last day of the
Olympia Event that next year's Olympia event will be in February on the same
day as the annual Kiddlington Fair. For a number of Family History
Societies, this and a further increase in table prices, was the last straw.
A number of them got together to organise an event on the usual May weekend.
They have had various problems with their chosen venue and have now decided
on the Barbican Centre.
It has been advertised as an event "run by family historians for family
historians" and is to be run on a non-profitmaking basis. A number of
Societies have signed up already - some have abandonned the Brands event,
others will be going to both. It will be a fully fledged Fair with
lectures, help desks etc etc. Believe me, it is no spoiler.
