Yes BRS has been invoiced for the help the SoG has offered the BRS. As you
may know our President Patric Dickinson is also secretary of the BRS and I
am a council member. Our Vice President Peter Spufford is also Chairman of
the BRS so the two organizations know each other well. The BRS treasurer who
usually sends out the invoices has recently given up his post due to
promotion at work. Patric is temporarily acting as treasurer and he and I
therefore volunteered to stuff the BRS envelopes and send them out. Our CEO
very kindly said we could use the franking machine and repay the SoG for the
postage. This was infinitely preferable to 300 individual stamps
No doubt once BRS has a new treasurer normal service will resume.
Of course if there is anyone who is interested in being a treasurer I am
sure the BRS would be interested to hear from you

Subject: [SOG-UK] BRS report
Can anybody explain why the British Record Society annual reports and
accounts came, via mail, in an envelope bearing the SoG postal fank - i.e.
was paid for by the SoG. Did the BRS reimburse the SoG for this?
